Introduction

The GitHub Student Developer Pack is a collection of free tools and resources offered by GitHub in partnership with other companies. It is designed to help students learn coding, collaboration, and development with access to real-world tools.

This guide walks you through how to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack.

Pre-requisites

• Your SMU Email Address (e.g. [email protected] or [email protected])
• A GitHub account (if you don’t have one, you’ll create one in the instructions later)
• Enrolment Status Letter generated from OASIS (if you don’t have one, you’ll create one in the instructions later)

Instructions

Step 1: Create a GitHub Account (if you don’t have one)

1. Go to https://github.com/
2. Click on Sign up.
3. Fill in your details (username, email, password)
4. Verify your email address by clicking the confirmation link sent to your inbox.

Step 2: Go to the GitHub Student Developer Pack Page

1. Navigate to https://education.github.com/pack
